Consulting Services
Sobek Digital performs a variety of consulting services for our customers. This includes strategic and technical planning, assistance with a local installation, and custom design and development. We will also make house-calls if you need some hands-on assistance or local training for your staff.
SobekCM is released as open source and we continually strive to improve the code for all of our users. Due to this, we generally release custom SobekCM development as open source, especially if we will be hosting the modified library for a hosted user. If this will not work for your solution or market, please contact us and we can discuss this on a case-by-case basis.
Our consulting rates are very competitive. Generally, they are pre-purchased by the hour and are non-refundable if not utilized within a twelve month period. Please call us to discuss your particular needs.
Standard Consulting Packages
Our consulting services can be broken down into three basic categories, composed of two standard packages and a more general custom development package. These standard packages are detailed below.
Remote Management
Sometimes institutions want to host the material themselves, or are bound legally to host their own material. We can still help by installing and managing your instance of SobekCM remotely for you. During this process, we will provide custom development, free upgrades, and monthly health checks on the system.

Install Assistance
Need help setting up a SobekCM instance, getting the theming right, and need training? Our install assistance package may be right for you. We will help you install and configure the system and ensure you are ready to keep it up and running through training and consulting over a short period of time.

Custom Development
Our hosting package comes with custom development hours, but for a larger project, you may need more. Our programmers are available to assist with these projects and can work as an integral part of your team to extend your capabilities. Contact us to let us know what you are looking for and we can give you a quote. If two customers are looking for similar development, we can pair you together so you both save money!
